ROYCE RX Weight-Loss Consumer Bill of Rights

In accordance with legal guidelines, the following provisions apply to any weight-loss program offered through ROYCE RX:

  • (A) WARNING : Rapid weight loss may cause serious health problems. Rapid weight loss is defined as losing more than 1.5 to 2 pounds per week or more than 1% of your body weight per week after the second week of participating in a weight-loss program.

  • (B) Consult your physician before beginning any weight-loss program to ensure it is safe for you.

  • (C) Long-term weight loss is best achieved through permanent lifestyle changes, such as adopting healthier eating habits and increasing physical activity.

  • (D) Provider qualifications are available upon request.

You have the right to:
  • Ask questions about the potential health risks, nutritional content, psychological support, and educational components of this weight-loss program.

  • Receive an itemized statement detailing the actual or estimated costs of the program, including any additional products, services, supplements, exams, and laboratory tests.

  • Know the expected duration of the program.

  • Know the name, address, and qualifications of the dietitian or nutritionist who has reviewed and approved the weight-loss program in compliance with Florida Statutes, s. 468.505(1)(j).

This Weight-Loss Consumer Bill of Rights must be displayed in bold, 24-point type in accordance with s. 501.0573(6). Palm-sized copies must be legible and bold, as outlined in s. 501.0573(5). ROYCE RX is responsible for producing and distributing appropriate copies of this notice.
